Dominique De Groen (1991) is a Belgian poet, writer, and visual artist, working mostly in Dutch. She has written the poetry collections Shop Girl (2017), Sticky Drama (2019), Offerlam (Sacrificial Lamb) (2020), and SLANGEN (SNAKES) (2022), all of which were published by het balanseer. Her poems, essays, and short stories have appeared in/on many literary magazines and platforms, both in Dutch and in translation. She is the co-founder of Marktcorruptie, a label for zines and DIY-publications. Her writing has been awarded with the Frans Vogel Poetry Prize 2019, the Fintro Audience Prize for Literature 2021, the Jan Campert Poetry Prize 2022 and the Culture Prize of the City of Ghent 2022, and was nominated for the Poetry Debut Prize 2018 and the Herman de Coninck Prize 2020. In her work she engages with themes like ecology, (anti-)capitalism, and internet and pop culture.
